Finally I finished reading the book that I
have been reading through this semester for book report.
The
book’s title is “Chew On This”. The book is basically about fast food and the
world it has made. From the book I learned that where fast food comes from, who
makes it, what is in it, and what happens when you eat it. What I was surprised
most was that “In 1970, Americans spent about $6 billion on fast food. In 2006,
they spent about $142 billion on fast food. Americans now spend more money on
fast food than on college education, personal computers, computer software, or
new cars. They spend more on fast food than on movies, books, magazines,
newspapers and recorded music.” A huge number of people, including me, like
fast food but eating too much is really bad for your health. Even though I
learned the negative point of fast food from this book, I still like fast food
so I don’t think I can stop eating it. But I will try to cut down on fast food.
My
classmates said they want to read this book because it seems interesting and
easy to read.
If
you have time, please try to read this book!
