Final Book Report

Finally I finished reading the book that I have been reading through this semester for book report.

            The book’s title is “Chew On This”. The book is basically about fast food and the world it has made. From the book I learned that where fast food comes from, who makes it, what is in it, and what happens when you eat it. What I was surprised most was that “In 1970, Americans spent about $6 billion on fast food. In 2006, they spent about $142 billion on fast food. Americans now spend more money on fast food than on college education, personal computers, computer software, or new cars. They spend more on fast food than on movies, books, magazines, newspapers and recorded music.” A huge number of people, including me, like fast food but eating too much is really bad for your health. Even though I learned the negative point of fast food from this book, I still like fast food so I don’t think I can stop eating it. But I will try to cut down on fast food.

            My classmates said they want to read this book because it seems interesting and easy to read.

Restaurant Review 2017/01/13

　I went to Kyorakutei to review. One of several Michelin-starred restaurants in the backstreets of Kagurazaka, Kyorakutei serves very good soba. Soba is of course handmade and available hot and cold.

           

            Before the restaurant opened, we arrived there and there was a short line at that time. 11:30 the restaurant opened and we were seated and given menus and green teas. We ordered. 11:45 Yuba soba was served. Before 12 o’clock, we finished eating, paid the bill and left the restaurant.

            I only ate Yuba soba and the taste was very good. Everything was really good.

            The service staffs were really nice to us and their uniforms were clean. We were sitting at counter seats so that we could see the kitchen and staffs cooking. There was no music and it was like a quiet atmosphere so we could feel relaxed. I have nothing to complain of this restaurant but I think they should provide parking lots because after they received one star from the Michelin Guide, they has become very popular and number of customer increased. So if there are parking lots, it is easy for those who want to come by cars to come to the restaurant.

            If you have time, please go to this restaurant Kyorakutei and try their soba.

Restaurant Review 2017/01/03

Today, I want to share a ramen restaurant, “Ramen Sora” (ラーメン空).

            It’s located at domestic terminal of New Chitose airport, Hokkaido.

           

When I was waiting for my flight, I visited this ramen restaurant. I ate Tonkotsu ramen. It was creamy and really delicious.

            If you go to Hokkaido and have time at New Chitose Airport, please visit Ramen Sora and try their ramen.
